How to Use PingFM For Social Networking Backlinks

The one question that every small business owner or internet marketer seem to ask is, "How to leverage social networking without going insane?" Seriously, there are so many to choose from and so little time to actively participate in all of them. The solution is this is using a free auto-posting service called ping.fm. This handy site allows you to submit status updates, shorter blogs and longer blogs to dozens of the top social networking websites. This post is going to cover the primary advantages to syndicating longer blog posts using ping.fm.

Url Shortening. You can now auto-generate a ping.fm url in place of a long website. This benefit eliminates the need to visit an additional url-shortening site like bit.ly or budurl. One trick that many marketers exploit is putting a link to the main blog within the first few sentences. Doing this increases the chance of that link being viewed and clicked on when appearing in an RSS feed blog summary.

Increasing Blog Title Listings. Instead of solely relying on your primary blog to get ranked, Ping.fm adds at least twenty other possible listings for your blog title. This is important since no one knows for certain which site Google will rank highest. It could be one, two, or even five of your blog posts. I'd rather submit to all of the ping.fm sites than play a guessing game to tweak each individual site. Functionally, the submission sites will act as feeders to funnel visitors to my primary blog.

Improving Blog SEO. This requires an extra minute of specialization but it's worth it. Create anchor text with some basic html coding like what is shown in my blog post's Youtube video. Choose a 1-3 word phrase that contains the most relevant keywords related to your topic and what you wish to optimize for future Google searches. For instance, my hyperlinked anchor text was "DubLi blog", so readers are most likely to find my blog when searching "DubLi blog". This affect is underscored by the fact that ping.fm's sites not only contain high Google pageranks but most of them are 'dofollow'. This last point is vital since Google only considers dofollows backlinks in their ranking calculations.

Saving Time. I hinted at this advantage above in describing its more specific benefits. It's undeniable the power that ping.fm affords to increase social networking productivity in the shortest time possible. Marketers and business owners view time as money. And up until now too many critics abandon social networking and social media due to its time consumption or intangible return. However Ping.fm solves many of these drawbacks thus allowing more time for other marketing efforts. Ironically, the most time consuming part of the entire service is initially establishing accounts with all the social sites. Each subsequent post takes about three minutes tops!

Adsense alternatives

So you’ve placed Google ads throughout your website and still barely make any money, huh? Well, you don’t have to just use your website anymore. There are other sites where you can place your Google ads. In this article, I will discuss where these other websites are.

For starters, there’s Xomba.com. Xomba is an article depository site where you can write your articles and make some money from them. It should be noted that you are not just limited to articles; you can submit pictures, interesting news clips, videos, and more.
Xomba.com is similar to Digg in a way because it allows the poster to submit their content, and then people will give it points if they like the it. The more points your content receives, the more people will look at it. Of course, the difference between Digg and Xomba is that you get paid at Xomba. You submit your Adsense ID to Xomba, and your Google ads will show up wherever your content is displayed.
Xomba will take a fifty percent commission on your earnings, though. But you receive free website hosting and advertising, so it’s a good deal. Also, everything you submit to Xomba is under a nonexclusive license. A nonexclusive license means you are free to submit your content to other sites that have a nonexclusive license.
However, you will never be able to submit your content as exclusive to any other sites if you submit it to Xomba. So be careful. As for checking your earnings at Xomba, just log in to your Adsense account like you normally would. It’s that simple. And the earnings may start to add up over time, depending on how much content you submit and the popularity of it.

One other website that allows you to make money from your Google ads is called forums.digitalpoint.com Digital Point is a forum site where you can earn money from your posts. Basically, you have to have fifty total posts before you can start using your Google ads. After this, you submit your Google Adsense ID to Digital Point and start earning money.
Similar to Iwantyouranswers.com, Digital Point will display your Google ads fifty percent of the time. Digital Point will then show their ads the remaining fifty percent of the time. But you’re making money by talking on a forum, something that you probably do for free elsewhere. So this is a good deal.

As you have seen, there are other ways to utilize your Google Adsense account these days. If you want to make some extra money with Adsense, then visit these sites. And these are just a few of the many sites that are starting to use Google Adsense. Who knows how many sites will do this in the future.

How To Optimize Your Web Traffic?

How to get more web traffic to my website?” has been the million dollar question for most internet marketers and SEO professionals across the virtual marketplace. If you search the internet you will find a lot of literature that might say “increase your web traffic by 100% in 10 days” or something akin to it. If you have been in the business for some time and seen the ups and downs, how many of them work is anyone’s guess. Coming to the main course- optimizing web traffic, there are a few things we should remember before embarking on an understanding journey.
- Always, remember always, optimize your website for the primary keyword: The primary keyword should be frozen before you embark upon creating the content for your website. A lot of research goes into this. Take your time but choose the right one.

- The primary keyword should be put into the title tag of each web page of your web site. This is extremely important from the search engine
point of view.

- The secondary keywords that your web pages carry should be optimized as required for each page. Keep them in the first 25 words and make sure they are distributed evenly in the rest of the content.
- Link building is important, especially from pages that the related to the niche and carry a better page rank. Embark on this, although it could take some valuable time.

- You have your site ready with good content, relevant links and even submitted to search engines; still your website does not show up on search engines… Have some patience, it would a few weeks before the bots come in and index your web site. Meanwhile work on more links, more the merrier.

- There is more to do here, you will need to build up your goodwill on the internet, the best way here would be to write some articles with keywords embedded in them and submit them to article directories with a back-link to your website in the “bio”. You can post a few of them on your own website too.

- You can also join a few forums relevant to the niche and post regular comments with a link in them. It helps indexing.

What we discussed above is just the primary part of attracting more traffic to your website. There are other techniques that can be resorted to, but the above are absolutely essential and thus relevant.

Search term research is the process of selecting relevant keywords to target what people are using in a search within Google and other search engines.
By targeting these keywords can drive traffic to your web pages through natural Search Engine Optimization and also paid search engine traffic to your site.

Why Search Term Research need?
Search term research lays the foundation for your search marketing campaign. Build the Search Engine Optimisation SEO campaign around your keywords and you get guaranteed success! However, remember to keep in mind that it’s not about the keywords you want to be found for but the keywords your audience is using to locate the products and services you offer.

When to do Search Term Research?
Every campaign be it SEO or SEM requires a plan - grab yourself a sheet of paper and a pen, and start planning your search Campaign. Number one on the list for this should be search term research.
Search term research is the bedrock to all SEM / SEO campaigns. The foundation of search is researching terms that people use to associate with your products and service.
Search Term Funnel
Search generally follows a pattern, the searcher will start with broad terms, getting more and more granular as the process continues, a good example for this is searching for a digital camera to buy.
There are many brands and models available though people are generally not going to start searching for a specific model - they will begin searching for a “digital camera” do some research then they may want a “compact digital camera” do some more research and eventually they will want a “canon compact digital camera”. As you can see there’s a distinct pattern, the search terms slowly “funnel” to a specific product.
So what’s the point I’m making here? Ensure your search term research encapsulates the entire search funnel / search process. If you fail to cover all areas you will be losing valuable search traffic.
Repeat the Research!
Finally, don’t ever think, that search term research is something that you only do one time. It is something that needs to evolve as well. If you are using the same keywords now that you came up with 5 years ago, you may be missing the boat.
What tools to use for Search Term Research?
There are a number of free and paid search term tools available, here’s a list of my Top 2:

  • Keyword Discovery - Leading keyword research tool, used by thousands of professional search marketers. You can create a free account and trial the system before you buy!
  • Google Keyword tool - Well you can’t expect me to NOT include Google - they are constantly coming out with advancements on what they can offer for free, definitely worth a look.
Alternate Search Term Tools
Web analytics - ideal for identifying popular pages your visitors are navigating to. Create more pages focused on this topic drawing more traffic to this section of the site.
Site Search Logs - if you have an internal search facility, check these logs. Often people will get to your site then search for a specific topic. If you’re not already targeting these terms in your SEM campaign do so now!
Completive Intelligence - or CI is a service available that gives the user an insight into what traffic is being driven to certain websites. A quality CI service should give you access to what sites are referring traffic to your competitors site PLUS what search terms are driving traffic to your competitors website.
Google Trends - Historical trend data about search terms and websites in Google.
The World of Search
Different spelling will attract different traffic - It pays to be aware of how people search, this includes all corners of the globe. A perfect example of this is the spelling of optimization. You can spell this one of two ways, US English “optimization” and UK English “optimisation”. Clearly focusing on one form of spelling can attract traffic from specific regions of the world.
Using Your Search Terms
If it’s an SEO campaign you’re running, include these search terms into the on and off page sections of the program. Make sure you include the terms and variations of them in your URL titles, Webpage headings and copy. It is also very important that the more popular terms are included in your linking text within and back to the website.
SEM aka Paid Search, build these terms out even further capturing the long tail terms, package the terms up into categories and begin writing targeted search engine ad copy.
Conclusion
Thorough search term research is critical; do not rely on just one search term tool to guide you. There are varieties of quality tools available that will help give you a detailed understanding of your search audience. Use all these tools, both free and a combination of paid - you will find they use alternate sources, greater the source great the mix of search terms.
Remember - keep searching for your terms, visitors will always evolve in their search for your products, you must evolve with them!

Web Pages That Will Rock Google

Web content is vital in search engine optimization. This is what your readers will be faced with once they click on your website. Plus, this is what search engines will be looking at in determining where they will position your site.
While you cannot determine if your content will get high rankings in search engines, there are some things you can do to make your pages better.

1. Correct HTML.

Most marketers get to busy with other aspects of making their site look good that they forget this simple yet effective aspect: valid HTML. HTML is one of the fastest way to get “spidered” by search engines.
Check your HTML before you move on to Meta descriptions and keywords.
2. Keyword and More Keywords.

The keyword or keywords you are using should capture what your website is really about. Thinking of the right keywords to use can be risky. But this is an important part of your site optimization. Focus on a word or phrase that will best explain the essence of what your site is about and what it offers.
Make sure that the keyword is present in the headline, content and links scattered around in your pages.

3. Content Is King.

Search engines are picky on web contents. They want relevance. You may not know it yet but search engines are regularly checking and reviewing web contents. This is their way of making sure there are no duplicate contents and if your site is what you say it is.
Keep in mind that “Content Is King”. It should always rule.

4. One Page At A Time.

Do not try and optimize multiple pages all at the same time. You want exposure not only on your homepage but all your pages. You can do this by allotting a certain amount of time for every one of them.
Treat every page like the entry page of your site. After one page has been optimized, that is the time when you move on to the next.

Four tips to better web pages. Follow these tips to the letter and search engines will be sure to notice your website in no time.

How to increse CTR?

There are many ways of increasing CTRs or click through rate on advertisements placed on a web page. The most important is the placement of the ad. An ad that is placed near the top of the page is likely to be noticed more than an ad placed at the bottom of the page.
Research shows that the best placement is just above the center of the page or below the navigation bar. This does not mean that ads placed near the top left hand side of the page will not evince sufficient visitor interest. They will, especially if they are placed next to content that is most useful to the visitors.
In fact, ads placed between blocks of high quality content attract the maximum number of click throughs. Interestingly, some ads placed at the bottom of a story or article too can generate a high CTR as well. This happens especially when the ads are related to the content that the user is browsing.
Since English is read left to right, an ad that is short and wide receives more clicks than a narrow and tall ad. A good way to get clicks is to change the colors of the ad frequently to provide variety to the visitors, and to make them less monotonous.
Another way to improve the CTR is to use animated banner ads. These attract more attention than static ads. However, the danger with animated ads is that they can irritate eye movement if they are overdone.
Rotation too is a useful strategy. Instead of using one ad it makes sense to use a series of ads on a rotation basis. The user gets a fresh message each time he looks at the ad.
Targeting also helps CTRs because the ad is being viewed by only those visitors who are interested in the subject. For instance, a scholarship ad for Washington students is likely to have a higher CTR if it is viewed only by students living in Washington.
Besides placement and targeting, CTRs also depend on the way the ad has been designed. An eye-catcher will get a better response than a dead ad. Similarly, ads that take too long to download may not interest users.
It is also important to track the performance of an ad. An ad may perform very well for the first few days and then lose visitor interest. You should move, change or replace the ad if the CTR falls below 0.5%.
You must remember that a higher CTR means higher revenue for website owners and a higher RoI for advertisers.
